Concert Announcement
This concert brings together distinguished artists and ensembles from Germany and the United States for a unique musical event at Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
Under the musical direction of Andrea Fessmann, the program combines the monumental choral work Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana with the elegance, wit, and rhythmic charm of the musical tradition inspired by the legendary Comedian Harmonists.
The evening features the Bavarian Carmina Choir, the internationally acclaimed VOENA Children’s Choir, distinguished soloists, and the celebrated German vocal ensemble The Munich Harmonists.
This special production represents an international cultural collaboration bringing together artists, choirs, and audiences from both Europe and the United States for an extraordinary musical celebration in one of the world’s most historic concert venues.

About the Artists
Andrea Fessmann
Andrea Fessmann is a conductor, singer, and cultural organizer widely recognized for her artistic leadership and innovative concert projects.
She is the recipient of the prestigious Tassilo Prize, awarded by Germany’s leading newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung for outstanding cultural engagement.
Her work has brought together musicians, choirs, and audiences in numerous large-scale musical productions across Germany and Europe.
The Munich Harmonists
The Munich Harmonists are an internationally recognized vocal ensemble dedicated to the musical tradition of the legendary Comedian Harmonists of the 1920s and 1930s.
Their performances combine vocal precision, theatrical charm, and stylistic authenticity, bringing the elegance and wit of this unique musical style to audiences across Germany and beyond.
